Charles B. Williams passed away on 5/14/2026. He was 94. He went peacefully and is now with his wife, Sue C. Williams, of 72 years (and dated 6 years), who preceded him in death on 11/2/2025. He was born in Logan County, West Virginia, and lived most of his life in South Charleston, WV before retiring to Summerfield, Florida in 1999. He lettered in baseball, basketball and football in school and graduated from SC High School and Morris Harvey College. 

He was a Korean War Army Veteran, was on the SC City Council, Vice Chairman of the SC Board of Directors, on the SC Area Development Corp., the WV Water Development Authority, was Asst. Commissioner for the WV Dept. of Highways., the WV State Tax Dept., worked with the State and Local Police on investigations for the State Govt., was Special Asst. to Gov. John D. Rockefeller IV, received the State of WV Distinguished West Virginian Award from Governor Rockefeller, and was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel from the Governor of Kentucky. He was an avid gardener and loved playing golf. He was a great husband and father, and he is now at peace, in his perfected state, enjoying the company of his wife once again. 

He was the last surviving sibling of his immediate family at the time of his death. He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Williams, Keys) Teaster of FL and Dr. Lisa Williams of GA, Grandchildren, Brooke (Keys) Farrington of CA and Dr. Brad Keys of St. Thomas, VI, Great-Grandchildren, Ayla Farrington, Lily Farrington, Tiberius Keys, and nieces and nephews. 

His military service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on July 3, 2026 at 9:00am, with interment directly following the service.
