Emily L. Pardee

Emily Pardee of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, at the age of 92. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was born on February 10, 1934, to the late Joe and Maggie Nettles Rizer.

Emily graduated from Ocala High School in 1952 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, Charlie Pardee, they had four sons together and shared many cherished memories with until his passing in January 1997.Her first job was at McCrory’s Drugstore, where she earned 50 cents an hour. She later worked for the telephone company, and after starting her family, she and her husband opened Pardee’s Appliance Store.

After nearly 30 years in the appliance business, they semi-retired and moved to Lake Weir, where they managed real estate investments. Emily enjoyed fishing and hosting barbecues at the lake house with family and friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a devoted member of First Assembly Church since 1987.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Pardee; her son, Chuck Pardee; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Pardee; her parents; her six siblings; and her grandson, Marshall Pardee.

She is survived by her three sons: Mike (Rene) Pardee, Rick (Kathy) Pardee, and Russell (Rossi) Pardee, brother Billy Rizer as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Emily will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew her.
