Jonathan Michael Parson

February 27, 2001 — June 7, 2024

Jonathan Michael Parson, age 23, went to be with the Lord on June 7 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jonathan loved the Lord deeply and boldly claimed Jesus as his Savior. He lived in Ocala, FL, and was born in Gainesville, FL. He graduated magna cum laude from Daytona State College with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He worked at Tillman & Associates as an engineering intern and had completed part of his Professional Engineering Certification.

Jonathan's dedication and enthusiasm were evident to all who worked with him. Beyond his professional aspirations, Jonathan had a profound passion for mentoring at-risk teens. As a counselor and mentor for Teen Reach, Jonathan devoted himself to caring for at-risk youth, primarily those residing in foster care. His work with Teen Reach was one of the deepest joys of his life, where he provided guidance, support, and a listening ear to those who needed it most.

Jonathan's radiant personality and genuine love for others brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him. He loved traveling, anime and Japanese culture, home-cooked meals, and a good joke. His fun-loving personality and beautiful heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Jonathan is survived by his loving parents, Dan and Patsy Parson, and his twin brother, Christopher Collins. He is also survived by his grandparents, Don and Sandy Freer and Dave Parson; his aunts and uncles, including Leigh and Keith Speight, Joyce and Paul James, and Davy Parson; and his cousins Damon and Alyssa Speight, and Nolan, Connor, Ryan, and Taylor James and Brooke and Brittany Parson. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we rejoice in the assurance that he is now with our Savior.

A celebration of Jonathan's life will be held on June 22 at 4 PM at Good News Church in Ocala, FL.
