Thomas Walter Mansdoerfer

Thomas Walter Mansdoerfer entered into eternal life Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1942 to the late Walter Mansdoerfer and Ruth Mansdoerfer (Schneider). Tom was a head buyer at the Edward G. Budd Company in Philadelphia.

After retirement in 2001, Tom moved to The Villages, Florida from Delran, New Jersey, where he coached several of the Delran Township traveling softball teams. He was a highly successful, popular, and respected coach… indeed a legend.

Tom reveled in watching his daughters, grandchildren, and coached players, as they excelled in their positions on the field.

He served on the Board of The Big Brothers and Big Sisters program of Burlington County New Jersey.

In his retirement, Tom enjoyed playing softball, golfing, traveling and especially loved sharing the holidays surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. Tom always loved seeing people laughing and smiling and was determined to make that happen. If he could help someone, it made his day.

After sharing 53 years of unparalleled love, Tom’s wife Shirley was called home to glory. Tom’s family surrounded him with unconditional love and support, especially his beloved son-in-law Leo Sejda.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Ruth; adoring daughters Karen Mansdoerfer Sejda of Summerfield, FL, Kerry Donnelly and her husband Kevin of The Villages, FL; and his prized loving grandchildren Cara and Tommy Donnelly of Spring Hill, TN; stepson Scott MacDougall, his wife Sarah, and loving grandchildren Liam and Aiden MacDougall of Kansas City, MO; Tom’s brother Ron Mansdoerfer of The Villages, FL; brother-in-law Vern Torgeson of Montrose, MN, and sister-in-law Bonnie Hooper of Bronson, MO.

The Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 1, 2026 with a Visitation at 10:30 a.m. and the Celebration of Life Service following at 11:30 a.m. at Fairway Christian Church-8400 E CR 466, The Villages, FL 32162. Interment with Military Honors will be held at the National Cemetery of Bushnell, Florida at a later date.
