It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend, family member, and cherished companion. Known for his genuine personality and willingness to do anything for a friend will be remembered by all who knew him.

David was preceded in death by his father, Jose Mata Sr. He is survived by his children, Kaylo Mata, David Mata, Jose Mata, Maria Mata, Kayden Mata, David Mata Jr., Juan Jose Mata, and Athena Mata: his devoted mother Maria Leal, sister Cynthia Mata, and brother Jose Mata; and so many more beloved family members.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a comfort to all.

Please join the family for a small memorial at the Marriott Hotel at the Space & Rocket Center, Address 5 tranquility Base Huntsville, AL 35085, from 3-5pm on Friday May 29th. We will have a meeting room for family and friends to gather. Please RSVP if you plan on attending.
