James Keith Leach, Sr.

Mr. James Keith Leach, Sr., age 87, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Leach was born January 3, 1939, in Tifton, Georgia to Ottis and Faitha (Clemmons) Leach. He was a resident of Polk City since the 1950’s coming from Georgia. James was a United States Marine Veteran and retired from International Paper Company in Auburndale as a Maintenance person after 43 years. He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church in Polk City. He enjoyed farming, being outside, peddling around the house and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons – Jeffrey Todd Leach & James Keith Leach, Jr.; grandson – Caleb Tompkins and brother – Tommy Leach. James is survived by 3 sons – Daniel (Eileen) Tompkins, Gregory Leach & Brian Leach; 13 grandchildren – Jordan (Chase), Sarai (Casper), Joshua (Allie), AnnaGrace (Brandon), Hope (Dawson), Gregory Tyler, Clayton Ladon (Tori), Emma (Brandon), Ethan, Olivia (CJ), Carley, Bryson & Ashley (David); 18 great grandchildren – Abaigail, Ezra, Titus, Noah, Nehemiah, Giddeon, Leah, Josiah, Silas, Evelyn, Theodore, Sampson, Jedidiah, Nathaniel, Elliott, Georgia, Gentry & Nomi. Interment was held Friday, June 26th at Auburndale Memorial Park.
