Kayla Sue Albritton

September 17, 1954 — May 19, 2026

Kayla Sue Albritton was a loyal, faithful wife and a best friend to her husband of 53 years. She joined the celestial choir this past Tuesday, May 19. She was born in Amarillo, Texas on September 17, 1954. She was a little redheaded, fireball to her family growing up in Texas. She graduated from Palo Duro high school third in her class with honors. She continued her education at West Texas State University. Where she got a baccalaureate degree in Spanish and French. She spent most of her working career as a teacher at Grace Christian school in Bowie, Maryland. She was a faithful church member at all the churches that her husband worked. Often taking charge of children’s programs and ladies programs and many other efforts in the churches. She loved to knit and crochet. She also played the piano and often accompanied her husband who was a worship pastor. After retirement, she loved to travel. She visited Canada, Mexico, many islands in the Caribbean, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, France, England, Italy, Greece, Norway, England, Iceland and Portugal with her husband, just to name a few. She has survived by her husband Tim Albritton of Poinciana, Florida and her daughter Chandra Albritton of Astoria, New York. Sisters La Rue Wadsworth and Judith Mason and husband Cecil Mason, sisters in law, Sharon Sauls and Lawanda Sauls all from Amarillo Texas. Brother-in-law, Steve Albritton of Somerset, Kentucky, and Rick Albritton of Gilmer Texas and a small host of nephews and nieces. She was proceeded in death by her Mother, Maurine Mershon, her Father, Red Mershon and by Brothers, Don Sauls and Danny Sauls. Also, a son, Adam Albritton.
