Shelby Hart

Mr. Shelby Hart, age 80 a resident of Crestview, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 with family. Mr. Hart was born February 28, 1938 in Auburndale to Leo and Ruth Mae (Hughes) Hart. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and served his country proud. In 1971, Shelby opened Badcock Home Furniture in Crestview and operated it for 32 years. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, the military and spending time with his family was what he loved most. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister – Patricia Smith and daughter-in-law – Darree Hart. Shelby is survived by his loving & devoted family; Wife of 50 years: Becky Hart of Crestview, FL., on: Mike Hart of Brewton, AL., 2 Daughters: Kimberly (Jay) Findley of Ontario, Canada, Destiny Hart of Lake Wales, FL., Nephew: Jonathan James of CA., 8 Grandchildren: Ben, Jake, Zak, Jason, Bryan, Cameron, Cody and Ashley, 13 Great Grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 10th at Kersey Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
