Sandra Lee Englebert

Sandra (Sandi) Lee Englebert of Buckley, Washington, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2026, surrounded by her devoted husband and daughters. She was 74 years old.

Sandi will be deeply missed by her loving husband of nearly 38 years, Robert Englebert, and her children: Tammy (Jason) Birklid, Christine Cody, Bryndis Njardvik (Greg Wilson), and Kylie (Hayden) McBride. She was a proud and loving “Grammy” to eleven cherished grandchildren: Dylon, Audrey, Kai, Isaiah, Aden, Uzziah, Harper, Ahmiyah, Knox, Lachlan, and Freya. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Coast and Isai. Sandi was also a loving “Grammy” to several bonus grandchildren and family friends, all of whom she embraced as her own.

Sandi was born on January 25, 1952, in Seattle, Washington, to Phyllis and Stanley Brown Sr. She was the second of four children and is survived by her siblings Linda Hiffman, Sally Brown, Stanley Brown III, and her mother.

She was raised in Auburn, Washington, where she attended Auburn High School and formed many lifelong friendships. Throughout her life, Sandi really enjoyed sports. She was an active participant in softball, soccer, and volleyball in her younger years and remained an enthusiastic supporter of youth athletics, especially within the White River School District community. She was a dedicated Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Super Sonics fan.

Sandi began her career as a business administrator at Bilt Rite Fencing, working alongside her lifelong friend, Mike Allen. She later worked at Hexcel in Kent, where she discovered a passion for computer technology while attending Green River Community College. With determination, she developed her skills in computer information technology, which led to a meaningful career as a computer technician with the White River School District. She served with dedication until her retirement in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and quiet service to others. Alongside her professional career, Sandi also devoted her heart to serving at Garden City Church as a children’s nusery director. In that role, she nurtured and inspired young hearts, planting seeds of faith that will continue to grow for years to come and leaving a lasting impact on every family she encountered.

Sandi will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She had a giving heart and was always happy to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or open her home to others. She created a space where people felt safe and cared for. Whether through a home-cooked meal or a listening ear, she made everyone feel like they belonged.

She taught her family the importance of kindness, the value of hard work, and the power of unconditional love. She showed up—always—as a constant source of support, strength, and encouragement. Even through life’s hardest seasons, she carried herself with grace and resilience, never allowing the weight she bore to change the way she loved others.

Sandi had a gentle spirit that put people at ease, a quiet humility, and a deep care for those around her. She never sought recognition, believing instead that kindness and actions would speak for themselves.

More than anything, Sandi will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grammy, and friend. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved—something that became a lasting part of her legacy. She leaves behind a life marked by compassion, strength, and genuine kindness. As her family reflects on her life, they hold onto this truth: she made everything—and everyone—better just by being a part of it.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of life will take place on April 26th at 1 pm at the Buckley Eagles, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Sandi’s life.
