Arthur Carlos

Arthur Carlos, age 80, a 55 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away February 24, 2011. Arthur was born March 9, 1930 in Taunton MA to the late Joseph and the late Mary Carlos. Arthur grew up with seven siblings during the Depression and then served in the Air Force for four years. He moved to Las Vegas in 1956 and worked as a bartender for the Sahara Casino for 47 years. He also was a real estate broker and building contractor. Arthur built his family home in Las Vegas as well as a cabin in WY. Arthur is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ingrid Carlos, children Daren Carlos of Las Vegas, Amy Doney of Pahrump NV and Jennifer Carlos of Las Vegas; grandchildren Sheldon Maxwell, Cameron Lee Carlos, Audrey Page and Garrett Page; extended family Robert Gilmer, Kathleen Buchanan-Page and Girard Page; and siblings Helen Senechal, Sylvia Carlos, Evelyn Vargas, Eddie Carlos, Priscilla Moody and Beatrice Babbitt, all of Taunton MA. He is predeceased by his brother sibling Joseph Carlos JR and his parents. A visitation will be held from 5:30-8:30 PM on Monday, February 28 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Dr., #104, 89147. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 1 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3400 W Charleston Blvd, 89102, with lunch to follow.
