Barry Edward Hess

Barry Hess, age 70, a 17 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, after a long illness. Barry was born April 14, 1947 in the Bronx, New York to the late Louis Phillip Hess and the late Rose Anna Hess. He is survived by his brothers Stuart and Arthur and sons Robert and Kenneth and 5 grandchildren. Barry graduated from High School in Norwalk, Connecticut. He honorably served in the U.S. Army from August 1966 to August 1968 and achieved the rank of Specialist 4th class in June 1967. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Badge for using the rifle. After his discharge from the Army, Barry worked in Norwalk, Connecticut as a printer in Perkin-Elmer Corporation. He then married Maureen (Bonnie) Bromley and moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut where he continued working for Perkin-Elmer corporation and achieving the Manager Position of the Department of Printing and Reproduction for the Corporation. In the year 2000 Barry moved to Las Vegas and worked as the Manager of the Printing and Production Department of the Houdini's Magic Shops until his death. Barry was preceded in death by his wife Maureen (Bonnie) Bromley, his sister Madeline Hess Mckeever, his brother Leonard Irwin Hess, and his sister Rhoda Irma Hess. The funeral service will be held at 9:20 am on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV. .
