Eleanor K Levi

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Eleanor Levi, who joined her beloved husband, David, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 95. To know “Ellie” was to be embraced by her strength and love. She was truly at her happiest when she was busy—whether sharing her love with her grandchildren, even at their youngest ages, volunteering at the San Diego Safari Park, or planning the next vacation. She lived for the simple joys shared with those she loved—from the salt air of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to the shops of La Jolla, California.

Ellie was the ultimate host. Her holiday gatherings were legendary, and her ability to move around the kitchen with ease was a joy to behold. She mastered recipes handed down from her mother and others of previous generations, giving them a special twist. She, in turn, passed those down to her children as part of her legacy.

She and David worked together in the family business in the Springfield, Massachusetts area for many years, further creating a legacy together as kind, honest, and community-minded people. The success of that business allowed them to retire and enjoy their days closer to family members whom they cherished. Eleanor’s greatest pride was the family that she and David nurtured over their many years.

Her legacy lives on through those whom she held most dear: her children—Judy Koblentz, Frema (Bill) LaFrance, and Paul (Roberta) Levi; her grandchildren: Scott (Sara) Koblentz; Michelle (Steve) Frabotta; Jennifer Cuthbert; Michael (Torey) LaFrance; Adam LaFrance and Bryan LaFrance; and Hannah (Richard) Wheatcraft; and her great-grandchildren, who brought a special sparkle to her later years: Ella, Victoria, Sydney, and Dylan Koblentz; Vivian, Noah, and Sebastian Frabotta; Hailey and Emory Cuthbert; Eilah LaFrance; and Tiegan Wheatcraft.

Eleanor’s presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of her will remain an eternal blessing to all who knew her.
