Jerry was born in Toronto, Canada on December 19, 1933 when his parents emigrated from Russia to escape the Pogroms, moving to New York soon after. Jerry also had a love for life and learning new things including a lifelong passion for tennis, sailing and dancing. Later in life Jerry bought a Sea-Doo, took piano and singing lessons and performed for his retirement community.
