Lillian Elizabeth Rote

Age 67, Lillian Elizabeth (Liz) Rote, beloved wife of Timothy Rote and mother of Alexander Rote, passed away February 8, 2023, at Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. Daughter of Charlie and Francesca Barber, Liz was born December 25, 1955 (the first of two Christmas babies in her family) in Tacloban City on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. One of 12 children, she is survived by her brothers Eugene Barber, George Barber, and Paul Barber, and sister Sandi McKernan (nee Barber). She was Aunt to 16 and Great – Aunt to five. Raised in the Philippines, she attended Holy Infant College before moving to the United States with her family in the early 1970s. Married to Timothy in 1985, she gave birth to Alexander in 1986. She spent the majority of her career at Bank of America where she rose to the rank of Branch Manager prior to retiring. Liz loved to travel and to garden and was devoted to her cats, Sia, Sligh Pooh, and Mr. Grey. She was teaching herself Chinese and Korean via YouTube. Famous for her hospitality and cooking. Her paella was legendary. Services will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall, CA (date and time to be determined).
