Rene Jose Ramos

Rene Jose Ramos, age 61, a 15 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Rene was born June 11, 1954 in San Antonio, TX to the late Henry Enrique and the late Josephine (Lopez) Ramos. Rene worked as a hotel general manager for Embassy Suites with Windsor Capital Group. He won Hotel of The Year for 2014. He loved fishing, nature, and barbecuing. He enjoyed listening to all types of music, particularly country, oldies, and Spanish. Rene enjoyed the Las Vegas life but also enjoyed traveling. He and his family were able to take many trips around the United States together. Rene was a loving husband and father. His family cherishes all the memories they have with him. Rene is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Ann Ramos; daughter, Priscilla (Bobby) Chawla of Chicago, IL and son, Rene Ramos Jr. of Las Vegas; siblings Yolanda Ortiz of Uvalde TX, Gracie (Albert) Van Dyke of Milwaukee WI, Luis (Margie) Ramos of San Antonio TX, Edward (Becky) Ramos of San Antonio TX, Blanca (Placido) Castillo of San Antonio TX and Mary Pena of San Antonio; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held from 12-9 PM on Monday, July 13, 2015 and 8-9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at M.E. Rodriguez Funeral Home, 511 Guadalupe Street, San Antonio, TX. The funeral mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 1710 Clower Street, San Antonio, TX.
