Ruth "Rachel" Cutler

Ruth Cutler, loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother passed peacefully on June 4th 2010 at the age of 83. Ruth was born in New York City on April 11, 1927. She was married to her life companion, Ben Cutler, of blessed memory. Daughter, Donna Cutler, son, Steven Cutler and her daughter in-law Sheryl Slakoff Cutler will remember her forever more. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren Jason, Brad, and Rebecca Greenberg & Lindsay Cutler. She was doubly blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, Isabel and Jacob Greenberg. Ruth lived in Los Angeles to complete school and graduate from Roosevelt High. She first moved to Las Vegas in 1953, watching the town grow into a city. One of Ruth's favorite pastimes was to travel; she has seen much of the world, but she always loved Las Vegas as her favorite place on EARTH! Her strong & loving personality will always be remembered. Her goal was always to give. She was a remarkable support to all of the family members' endeavors over the years. To her children she was more than a mother; she was a great friend! Ruth will be laid to rest with her beloved Ben Cutler at Hillside Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday, June 8th 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ruth's favorite charity, the Summerlin Lions Club will be greatly appreciated.
