Sophie Ray

Sophie J. Ray was born 11/16/1929 in Warsaw , Poland. Died in Infinity Hospice Care Las Vegas, on Good Friday - 4/3/20015. Sophie is a Holocaust Survivor of a Women's Concentration Camp in Ravensbruck , Germany. She was taken as a little girl to the concentration camp, which she survived. After the War she was reunited in Czech Republic with her mother Honorata ,and started family of her own. Sophie immigrated to the U.S. in 1970,worked hard for Westinghouse Company in San Francisco, California. Retired in Las Vegas ,the city that she loved ,her ultimate destination. During her lifetime Sophie spoke openly about surviving the Holocaust as a child and testified the truth. Sophie was proceeded in death by her parents and daughter Ana. She is survived by two sons: Vitezslav and Jaroslav Sarina, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Sophie is also survived by good friends in USA , Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 4/9/15 at 10 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery,1500 N. Las Vegas ,NV 89101.
