Harold Phipps
February 12, 1949 — March 6, 2024
Born to Ada and Harold Phipps of Seymour, Illinois. Steve had three brothers, Jerry Phipps, Mark Phipps and Robert Phipps. He also has 5 children, Maria McGee, Fred Phipps, Marcus Phipps, Lesa Beleke and Teresa Beleke, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He loved sneaking out with the grandchildren and taking them to the ice cream store and telling them, "don't tell grandma". He would sit and tell them stories of growing up on a farm. They loved his stories that will last a life time. That will be missed.
Steve served in the Navy for 20 years, from 1967 to 1987. When he retired from the military he went to plumbing school for 4 years and started his own plumbing business until he was forced to retire at age 55, due to medical reasons.
Steve married Sandie in 1987 in Canada, one of our most favorite places and was married for 37 years. We had many adventures and stories to tell.
We couldn't have had a more loving and kinder person in our lives and I hope you know how much he valued family. Family first then friends for life. He loved each and everyone of you! I love you baby forever and always. I am going to miss you so much. I am so blessed to have had you in my life and to know that you are no longer suffering.
