In Loving Memory of Casey Grant 1977–2026

Casey Grant, a gifted storyteller, dedicated martial artist, and devoted husband and father, passed away at the age of 49.

Born in Billings, Montana, Casey grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and graduated from Franklin Pierce High School. His artistic spirit led him to Los Angeles to pursue acting and film, before landing in Arizona, where he made his home for 20 years.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Arizona State University, Casey built a successful career in video production and marketing. His gift for capturing the human experience was reflected in his award-winning web series, “Boss Hoggin Road Trip,” and his documentary, “U-105: An American Strongman in India,” winner of Best Arizona Feature Film at the 2021 Phoenix Film Festival.

Casey also had a profound love for martial arts, earning black belts in three styles, including Shaolin Kung Fu and, most recently, Songahm Taekwondo. He enjoyed competing in martial arts tournaments and earned multiple State and District titles. Yet for all his strength, Casey had a gentle heart with a love for rescue dogs, and reptiles, including geckos and snakes.

Of all the titles Casey held—writer, director, producer, and martial artist—none meant more to him than father. His greatest joy was his 9-year-old daughter, Emmy, who carries forward his love of reptiles, and his passion and determination as a first-degree black belt in Songahm Taekwondo.

Casey is survived by his loving wife, Shauna; daughter, Emmy; parents, Douglas Grant and Carol Grant; sister, Shannon Scott; nephew Carson Scott, nieces Sydney Scott and Kyana Grant; brothers, Geoffrey, Gavin, and Kellan Grant; and his beloved canine companions.

A celebration of Casey’s life will be announced at a later date, when family and friends will gather to share the stories he loved to tell.
