Deshawn Redmond

June 20, 1993 — June 1, 2026

In Loving Memory of Deshawn RedmondDeshawn Redmond was born on June 20, 1993, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to his loving parents, Tamiko Redmond and Darrin Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrin Johnson. At a young age, Deshawn accepted Christ as his Savior and carried his faith with him throughout his life.

Deshawn was born with Noonan Syndrome, a condition that many believed would place limits on what he could accomplish. But Deshawn never accepted limitations. He faced life with determination, confidence, and an unshakable belief in himself. He proved to everyone around him that a disability does not define a person. Instead, he showed the world that strength comes from the heart, and he lived each day with courage, joy, and purpose.

Deshawn had a passion for music and loved playing the guitar and drums. He was a devoted fan of Prince and especially loved Purple Rain. Many will remember him wearing his favorite baseball hat and the smile he brought wherever he went. He loved going out to restaurants, spending time with family, celebrating at gatherings, and enjoying every moment life had to offer. More than anything, Deshawn loved his mother, Tamiko, who made sure he experienced life to the fullest and was never treated differently because of his condition. Through her love and support, Deshawn was able to enjoy the same opportunities, adventures, and happiness as anyone else.

Deshawn’s life was filled with laughter, love, music, and unforgettable memories. He inspired those around him by refusing to let his diagnosis determine his future. His strength, perseverance, and positive spirit gave hope to so many people. He taught everyone who knew him that life is not measured by limitations but by the love we give, the joy we share, and the lives we touch.

Deshawn leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Tamiko Redmond; his sister, Sheranique Redmond; his brother, Darrin Redmond; his nephews, Terrence and Ayiden and Tarajie his niece, Kamiyah; his grandmother, Ida Redmond, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

Deshawn was deeply loved, and his presence brought happiness, excitement, and inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Although he will be greatly missed, his legacy of courage, faith, resilience, and unconditional love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. His life stands as a beautiful reminder that no disability can limit a determined spirit, and that a life well lived is measured by the love we leave behind.CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization.
