Donna Ruth Peifer, 81, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Born on July 11, 1944, in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, Donna lived a life rooted in resilience, and dedication to her family. She spent the last three years of her life in Chandler, Arizona, where she continued to enjoy the simple pleasures that brought her happiness.
Donna retired after 32 years of dedicated service with M&M Mars, Inc. Throughout her career, she was known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment. She took great pride in her work and in the friendships she made over the years.
After many years together, Donna married the love of her life, Dave Peifer, in Snow Hill, Maryland. Together they shared wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories, until his passing.
Donna was happiest when enjoying watching old movies and reading. She had a lifelong love of reading, especially while relaxing on the beach, where she found peace and contentment. The beach was her favorite place, and many of her happiest moments were spent listening to the waves with a good book in hand. She was also a devoted NASCAR fan and faithfully cheered for her favorite driver, Kyle Busch. In addition, Donna was an avid collector of military memorabilia, taking great pride in preserving and appreciating pieces of history with her husband Dave.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave Peifer; her mother, Mildred Wilson (née Miller); her father, Paul Wilson; her brothers, Milton Wilson, Paul Wilson, Harry Wilson, and Marlin Wilson; her sisters, Carrie Schrefer, and Lena Bordner.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Allison Smock, and son-in-law, John Smock; her sisters, Brenda Patschke, and Annetta Long; her three grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Donna will be remembered for her strong spirit, and devotion to those she loved. Whether she was sharing stories, cheering on a NASCAR race, watching a favorite movie, or spending a peaceful day reading, she embraced life's moments with joy.
Her love, compassion, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
Forever loved, always remembered, and deeply missed.
