Harold Edward Glover
August 21, 1944 — May 25, 2020
“Hal” to those who knew him well, was born on August 21, 1944 to Robert and Margaret Glover in Evanston, Illinois. He graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1962 before enrolling at Michigan State University and subsequently beginning his career with American Hospital Supply Corporation. He stayed with the organization through many moves, mergers, and acquisitions, living in Indiana, New Jersey, Illinois, Arizona and California before retiring from Cardinal Health in 2004. Hal made many lifelong friends through his career and considered many of them as an extension of his family. He was the proud recipient of many accolades and awards throughout his forty-year career, many of which hung in his office until his passing. Hal was a natural entertainer and a gifted storyteller. His presence was undeniable when he entered a room, and he was adored by many who had the opportunity to know him. Hal will be remembered fondly as a loving husband, father, and grandparent, as well as a dedicated colleague and friend. As an avid sports fan, some may argue that experiencing the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series victory was the greatest day of Hal’s life, but he routinely boasted his greatest joy came from watching his children and grandchildren grow up into caring, good-hearted individuals. Hal was preceded in death by his wife, Renee (Remillard) Glover, and his parents Robert and Margaret (Wilson) Glover. He is survived by his daughter, Christie (Glover) Kielman, his sons, Robert Glover and Andrew Glover, his sister, Laura (Glover) Knox, his daughter-in-law, Rana (Sanders) Glover, and his six grandchildren: Quinn and Ethan Kielman, Garrett, Grayson, Gage, and Reagan Glover. A lifelong animal lover, Hal also leaves behind his 3 dogs and 2 cats. Memorial services will commence at a date to be determined in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, where Hal and Renee were married. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Hal’s memory.
