James Harvey Mccollum
November 7, 1946 — May 13, 2025
James Harvey McCollum passed away on Tuesday, May 13th, at the age of 78. He is survived by his devoted wife, his three daughters, his son, eleven grandchildren, and his two brothers.
He was an accomplished businessman, a passionate lover of music and adventure movies, and a true collector at heart. He found beauty in the desert and took pride in raising his children there.
He encouraged all of his children to follow their dreams and loved being a grandpa. He especially loved making his grandchildren laugh and was known for always finding each of them the perfect gift—just one of the many ways he showed how well he knew and loved them.
He enjoyed time with his brothers, who rejuvenated him and made him feel young again, bringing out his playful, carefree spirit.
Though his passing was unexpected, we are finding comfort in the many memories he left behind and the success, happiness, and good health he always wished for all of us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to organizations that held personal significance:

A celebration of Life will be held at the Desert Botanical Gardens in late summer. Details will be shared with family and friends once finalized.
