Vivian Flores Marquez
December 27, 1962 — August 17, 2020
Vivian Flores Marquez, age 57, was welcomed to Heaven into the loving arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ to join our beloved mother Damacia Matus Flores and our beloved sister Patricia Arenas in the early morning hours of August 17, 2020. She is survived by her father Rosalino Flores Sr., her children; Marcos Antonio Marquez, Roxanne Gutierrez, Lydia Nava, Sara Trevino, son in law Gilbert Trevino and her granddaughter Giannah Trevino, her siblings; Tomasa Flores Valenzuela, Brenda Flores, Erlinda Molina, Rosalino Flores Jr., Angelica Murillo and Juanita Verdugo, along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Vivian dedicated her entire life and gave herself unselfishly to the care of her family. She was a very strong and hard working mother, who overcame many challenges throughout her life, all while teaching her children many valuable lessons along the way. Her unconditional love for everyone was always there. She enjoyed watching football and basketball, rooting for her two favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers and San Antonio Spurs and also loved going to the casino with our dad and siblings. She will be remembered for her favorite dishes; her tuna casserole, little mini fluffy fry bread, cheesy broccoli and rice but most of all her famous pumpkin empanadas. Believe me, we all asked her for the recipe at one time or another, but she always said “next time” with a little smirk on her face, only leaving behind her secret recipe for her daughter Roxanne to carry on for her. She wasn’t much of a picture person, so we all had to catch and snap pictures of her by surprise, but she definitely left us all many beautiful memories that we will all cherish forever in our hearts. Her services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Santa Lucia Yaqui Temple, 5445 E. San Angelo, Guadalupe, AZ 85283 from 6pm to 10pm with Rosary beginning at 7pm, immediately followed by Mass in her honor. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Due to recent events and for the health and safety of all those in attendance, please practice social distancing and face masks and/or coverings will be required at the family’s request.
