John Theodore Benson

John T. Benson, 88, died November 27, 2024, in Mesa AZ, following a brief illness.  He was born in New Jersey and moved west as a young man. John had a degree in forestry and was employed by the Bureau of Land Management for many years. Upon retirement he and his wife, Paula, traveled extensively working their way from the Pacific Northwest to the Desert Southwest and back annually and finally settled in Mesa. John and Paula enjoyed time on their boat, snow machines, and travel trailer. John enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, jazz, and billiards. Paula become progressively more disabled over the years and John faithfully cared for her right up to the time of his death. Paula Benson, his wife of 51 years, survives.
