Amber attended Stebbins High School in Dayton, Ohio, where she distinguished herself as an outstanding JROTC officer, commanding the Honor Guard and drill team with her lifelong grade-school friend Ièsha. Amber’s dedication, natural leadership, and discipline were evident early in life and continued throughout her academic and professional journey.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Wright State University and later obtained her master’s in business administration from Norwich University. Amber built an accomplished career at Synchrony Financial, where she held several leadership positions and most recently served as Assistant Vice President for Compliance and Risk and Synchrony’s Black Experiences initiative.  Amber was a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

An adventurer at heart, Amber loved exploring the world. She traveled to many places and held a special love for Japan, which she visited twice in 2025. She embraced Japanese culture—from anime to traditional cuisine—with enthusiasm. She also cherished the outdoors, especially time spent on the ocean. She found joy in being on a boat, traveling to islands, and sharing those adventures with her husband.

Above all, Amber will be remembered for her driven spirit, her kindness, her love of adventure, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 1pm, Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 5191 Hoover Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45417.
