Charles "Chuck" Williams

Charles "Chuck" Leon Williams was born on September 13, 1951, in Quincy, FL, and passed away on April 15, 2026, in Lutz, FL. He was the son of the late Leon V. Williams and Mervin Warren Kormandy. Charles shared 48 wonderful years with his wife, Frances Pearce Williams, and was a proud father to his daughter, Kimberly D. Carnes, and father-in-law to Robert Carnes. He also had beloved cousins in the Tampa area and North Florida. A graduate of King High School, where he earned his GED, Charles worked as a machinist and welder for over 45 years, including 28 years at the Tampa Tribune. Known for his kindness, generosity, humor, loyalty, consideration, curiosity, and honesty, he met his wife through a church bowling league. In his free time, Charles enjoyed fishing, shooting, bicycling, and coaching slow-pitch softball, passions that reflected his love for life and the people around him.
