Glenda began her professional journey as a talented hairdresser and successful business owner in New Hampshire. Her entrepreneurial spirit and skill left a lasting impression on her clients and community. In 1980, she relocated to Florida, where she shared her expertise by teaching hair design. Later in her career, she transitioned into the role of Financial Aid Director for Concord Career Institute. Glenda shared a deep and enduring love with her husband of 29 years, Jim Downs. Their bond was an inspiration to all who witnessed it. As a mother, Glenda exemplified grace and strength. She cherished her daughters dearly—her eldest daughter Annette Lennox was not only a beloved child but also her best friend, while her youngest daughter Cheryl Talbot Touchstone held a special place in Glenda's heart as "Momma's baby" girl.
