Lamar Jay Ross

ROSS, Lamar Jay, 65, of Land O’ Lakes, has gone home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2006, from Hernando/Pasco Hospice Care Center, Dade City, FL. He was born in South Bend, IN and moved to Florida in 1977. He served in the Army National Guard. He was owner/operator of the Dairy Queen of Sebring, FL, a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lutz, FL, member of Moose Lodge #1903 in Land O’ Lakes, VFW Post 4300 of Sebring, past member of Elks Lodge in Sebring and Zephyrhills, FL. He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Ross. His loving family includes his wife of 47 years, Sandy Ross; daughters, Susan Woolard and husband, Brian of Cape Coral, FL, Kelly Ross of N. Ft. Myers, FL, Ann Marie Compton and husband Marc of Land O’ Lakes, FL; his mother, Freida Ross of Lakeville, IN; brothers, Gene Ross, Larry Ross both of South Bend, IN, LeRoy Ross of North Liberty, IN; sister, Kay Albert of South Bend, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer Short, Brandi Westbrook, Stephani Westbrook, AMAN US Navy, Bridgette Compton, Ashley Compton, Jolie Compton, Marcus Compton, Jr.; and great granddaughter, Karley Short. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lamar’s life will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 20735 Leonard Road, Lutz, FL 33558.
