Paul Eugene Russell

Paul Eugene “Tim” Russell, born July 21, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, on September 8, 2025. He was a beloved brother, uncle, son, and friend whose kindness, wisdom, and humor touched the lives of all who knew him.

Tim dedicated over 40 years of his life to education, earning the respect and admiration of countless students and colleagues. As a decorated and devoted teacher, he inspired generations with his passion for learning and his belief in the potential of every student.

He is survived by his brother and best friend, Skip Russell (Ann); his sister, Deana Ann Jones; his nephew, Ryan Russell; his nieces, Alicia Tanner (Parrish) and Paula Woulas (Jason); great-nephews, Nolan Russell, Alexander Tanner, and James Tanner; and his great-niece, NeiLee Russell. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Dean Russell. His love for his family was unwavering, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering.

Tim’s legacy of compassion, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

A private family service was held to celebrate his life at Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi.
