Troy Dee Hess

Troy Dee Hess, 61, of Land O’ Lakes, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on September 15, 2025. Born May 9, 1964, in Salt Lake City, UT to Larry Hess and Vera Aster, he served his country with honor for 20 years.

Troy was a beloved and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend; and his presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Hess. Troy is survived by his mother, Vera Aster (Tom); his loving wife and partner, Laura; his children, Miles, Sydney, Jacob, Kylie, and Taylor Hess; his brother Tyrone Hess (Marni); his sister Burgandy Rupp (Jared); his brothers-in-law Henry Jenkins (Michelle) and Jonathan Fuller (Terrenseah); his faithful canine companions Leah & Benjamin; and a host of family and friends.

He was a creative soul with a love of music and guitar and a passionate sports enthusiast. Troy enjoyed the thrill of hockey, the excitement of skiing, and the challenge of golf. Whether learning songs on the guitar, at the rink, the slopes, or the green, he shared these moments with those he loved. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, who were the center of his life.

A private ceremony will be held honoring and remembering Troy in the presence of close family.
