Passed away peacefully around noon on March 18, 2013 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. He was born on February 22, 1932 at Cottage Hospital to his mother Henrietta and his father Saul Venzor. Grew up locally with his sister Dolores and attended schools in the area. Graduated from SBHS in 1949 and enrolled into the Air Force, serving 10 years. Also working for Sambo's Restaurants until they closed and finishing his career at SBRC/ Raytheon where he retired. Chaz enjoyed playing golf and traveling to play in tournaments in Palm Springs and Las Vegas. Also was the co-founder of the Southern California Mexican American Golf Association which is now known as the Los Paisanos. Being a member of the Santa Barbara Men's Club as well. He enjoyed bowling, driving and visiting Europe, especially Germany. Survived by his wife Gudrun Venzor and his sons Erich, Charles, Gregory and Donna, Derrick and Diana, Kenny and Kirsten, and daughter Tamara and Brandon Montag. Also seven grandchildren, his loving sister Dee Allen, his brother in laws Hansbernd and Thomas Goebel, his niece, cousins, and friends. There will be a rosary on Tuesday March 26th at 7:30pm in Our Lady of Sorrows. Followed by a mass Wednesday the 27 th at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Sorrows. Donations can be made to Samsun Cancer Center and Visiting Nurse and Hospice. Special thanks to Dr. Mukal Gupta and nurse Paige. "You will be missed and forever in our hearts."
