Deborah Ann Burgess Brown
December 14, 1952 — January 5, 2026
Deborah Ann Burgess Brown was born on December 14, 1952, in Pennsylvania, and passed away peacefully on the morning of January 5,2026, in Redlands, California.
The youngest of five girls, she moved to California at the age of three with her mother, Retha May Burgess, and was raised in El Segundo, where she graduated from El Segundo High School. There, she made many close friends with whom she spent many afternoons at the beach, hanging out by the pier. Debbie later settled in Redlands, where she made her home for more than 30 years. Debbie loved music—especially the work of blues guitarist Peter Green—and enjoyed modern dance in her younger years. She had a deep love for the beach, which brought her peace throughout her life, and her compassionate nature was evident to all who met her. She was an incredibly strong woman who faced many medical challenges with courage and resilience, never losing her quiet strength. Debbie was preceded in death by sisters Erdene Hansen and Elaine Ruch and is survived by her daughter, Ashley Nicole Brown, and sisters Nancy Bochetti and Jacqueline Hansen. Those who were fortunate to know her will remember her for her modesty, her attentiveness, and her deep-seated kindness.
