Rebecca Gutierrez

Rebecca Gutierrez, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother of Lompoc, Ca passed away peacefully in a nursing facility on April 12, 2025 at the age of 68. Born on August 20, 1956. In Burbank, Ca to Francisco and Arlene Gasca. 

Our family finds comfort and grace that she passed peacefully in her sleep. We believe that she was lovingly escorted by past loved ones to the light so she can rest in peace. 

She is survived by her sons, Jesse and Robert Gutierrez, Mother Arlene Smyth-Robbins, Brothers Danny Gasca, Art Smyth, Grandchildren Celese, Kalie, Khloe, Aria, Ella and Great Grandson Jordan and baby girl on the way. 

Rebecca spent over 20 years in the medical field as a surgical technologist that she loved. She was a devoted Catholic and volunteered her time in the past at Old Mission Santa Ynez. Rebecca loved gardening from growing vegetables to succulents. Her biggest love was visiting her Grandchildren and spoiling them with abundance of gifts that always ended in her big loving hugs and kisses and thousands of pictures.  

A special thank you goes to Moises Gonzalez for being Rebecca’s companion for over 20 years. We will always be grateful to you for being there for her these last few months as her best friend and advocate. 

Rebecca will always be missed, but not forgotten as her memories will live through the people she touched throughout her life.
