Jane Marie Ellis

May 3, 1934 — April 25, 2026

Jane Marie Ellis, 91, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 3, 1934, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Jane lived a life rooted in devotion to her family, quiet strength, and enduring love. Jane courageously battled cancer with grace and resilience, never losing her warmth or the gentle spirit that defined her.

She was the beloved daughter of Delia and George Price, and grew up alongside her siblings, Ruth and Dwight Price, who preceded her in death.   Awaiting her in Heaven are her beloved daughter, Jane “Lisa”, and her grandson, Alex, whom she always held close in her heart. Jane was blessed with two loving marriages. Her first husband, John Waldron, and her second husband, Porter Ellis, both preceded her in death. She often spoke of the comfort in knowing they were waiting to welcome her home. She is survived by her devoted son, John Waldron (Amy), and her cherished grandchildren: Madison Early (James), Ben Waldron (Marlee), Kate Fink (Derrek), and Elaine Stauder (Cody). Jane’s legacy continues through her treasured great-grandchildren: Ally, Emma, Jack, Rosie, Lewis, Maggie, Ian, Jonah, Andi, and Elliot, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her dear nieces and nephew Dwight, Kandy, Sheryl, and Linda and extended families.

Jane found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved to play golf and could often be found enjoying time with her girlfriends on walks or sharing laughter over fun dinners. She cherished her time on the beach in Pawleys Island where she felt most at peace. She delighted in playing mini golf with her great-grandson Jack who, despite her best efforts, never quite followed her golf lessons. Jane loved discovering new lunch spots, a good glass of Prosecco, shopping at Lilly Pulitzer whenever she had the chance, and traveling to experience new places. She had a creative spirit and created beautiful works of art through painting and needlepoint, and was always taking time to appreciate the beauty of flowers around her. She enjoyed quiet afternoons with tea and biscotti and never passed up a good sour cream glazed donut.

Jane’s faith was a quiet but steady foundation in her life, guiding her with grace, kindness, and unwavering love for others. She found peace in her faith and took comfort in knowing she would be reunited with her loved ones in heaven. She is now at home in the presence of the Lord, reunited with those who went before her and welcomed into eternal peace. Her family finds comfort in knowing she has been called home to heaven, where she is whole, at peace, and surrounded by love.Jane will be remembered for her strength, her compassion, and the deep love she gave to those around her. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and lasting memories, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
