Matthew C. Andrews

October 31, 1973 — April 10, 2026

Matthew Clayton Andrews  (1973-2026)

Matthew "Matt" Andrews, age 52, passed away suddenly from natural causes on April 10, 2026. He was born October 31, 1973, in Salem, Virginia and he moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University.

Matt is survived by his mother, Nancy Prillaman Kargl, his children Alyssa, Olivia, and Grady, his devoted fiancé Donna Whalen, his Aunt Molly Mosier, and many beloved friends.

Matt obtained his bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Temple University. Throughout his lifetime, Matt took part in several different business projects and ventures. Those close to Matt would tell you that he was always coming up with new business initiatives and thinking outside the box. If he was not conferring with friends about new business opportunities, you could find Matt relaxing on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, or enjoying a fancy dinner, or spending time with his children.

From a young age, Matt had a strong passion for sports, specifically basketball. As time went on, he was both Olivia's and Grady's biggest cheerleaders in the stands. One of Matt's favorite things to do was to watch his children play sports (and maybe coach from the sidelines a bit). If he wasn't attending their games, he would bring them to an Eagles, Phillies, or Sixers game. Most would say that Matt was undeniably a one-of-a-kind individual, to say the least. If anyone ever needed a good laugh, Matt was always the person to call. His personality and humor will forever be irreplaceable.

A Celebration of Life for Matt will be held Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 11am to 2pm at Merchantville Country Club, 501 Chapel Avenue W, Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey 08002. Your presence and support mean so much to us and many ask what can we do? Matt was always very generous but did not have a favorite charity. A donation to your favorite charity in Matt's name is appreciated or you are welcome to contribute to an athletics and education fund for his son Grady. Contributions to the Grady Andrews Fundcan be sent by Venmo: @jwhalen613 or mailed to Grady Andrews Fund c/o Whalen, 613 Tatem Ave. Haddon Township NJ 08108.
