Ronald L. Hamlin
May 22, 1950 — May 8, 2026
Ronald L. Hamlin, of Sewell, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. He was 75 years old.
Ron proudly served our country during the Vietnam War and earned Sargent ranking in the U.S. Army.
Ron was the consummate storyteller and enjoyed sharing his many stories to family & friends, who truly loved listening to every word. He truly loved making people laugh with his epic stories! Ron loved cars, not hard to imagine, as he was a mechanic in the Army. His first new car was a Dodge Challenger and he was hooked. Years later, Ron and his father acquired a vintage Cadillac convertible, they both treasured it. Going to car shows became a hobby, not just for Ron, but also Mary Jane. Together, they loved admiring cars and spending their days together.
A retired USPS letter carrier, Ron retired after many years of delivering letters to families in Bridgeton and then later Sewell. He enjoyed meeting the families he delivered to over the years. When not working, Ron always made sure his lawn looked perfect. He found it relaxing to take care of his yard and took great pride in doing so.
Loving husband of 52 years to Mary Jane Hamlin (nee: D'Ettore); Beloved Uncle of Billy, Cis, Gene, Timmy, Denise, Laura & Jake, and Great Uncle of Michael, Gianna and Sarah and Great Great Uncle of Harley. Best Uncle ever to his beloved "Fur Nieces" Bella, Cheesecake, Rosie & Emily. Ron is pre-deceased by his parents, William E. Hamlin and Marjorie (nee: Townsend) and also his siblings, Bill, Larry and Jeff.
Family & friends are invited to Ron's viewing on Monday, May 18th from 10 AM to 12 PM the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. 08080. Funeral Service will begin at 12 PM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sewell, NJ.
