Patricia A. Murphy
March 12, 1963 — May 28, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia A. Murphy (fondly known as Patsy to her family) at the young age of 62.
Patty was born on March 12, 1963, to John and Julia Murphy of National Park.
Patty was strong-willed and known for her unwavering determination; she was fearless, independent, and loved her family. She attended St. Matthew’s grammar school and graduated from Gateway Highschool. She married and had two daughters whom she loved so much. All Patty wanted was the best life for them and to be happy.
Her happy place was going down to the river in National Park, Fort Mercer, and reflecting. She also loved to read, especially books about psychology. She also loved her dog, Josie. Her favorite holidays were Saint Patty’s Day, which she was very proud of her Irish heritage, and Halloween. She worked with developmentally challenged autistic adults in her work field.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, John and Julia Murphy, sister Judy, and brother John. She was very passionate about her faith. She always believed angels watched over you.
Patty is survived by her daughters Janelle and Julia Mae, sister Mary, grandchildren Jayla and Damien, nephew Eddie, nieces Dorothy and Tiffany, many cousins, and friends.
All Patty wanted was the best life for her daughters to be happy. Our comfort is knowing she is no longer suffering.
Patty will be sadly missed by all she loved and left behind. She always said, “It is better to give than receive”.
Rest in Peace, Patty
