Alice Josephine Ballard

Alice Josephine Cassano Ballard age 87, passed away on Thursday, October 23rd at Asela Home Care in Tempe, AZ. Born in Erie on November 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Loretta Bruno Cassano. She grew up in Erie PA and was a graduate of East High School. She married Albert Ballard on April 14, 1951. They relocated to Ashtabula in the early 1960's where they resided until 1984 when they moved to Phoenix, AZ. While living in Erie she was employed by P.A. Meyer Men's Clothing store and the Erie Corrugated Box company. While living in Ashtabula she was employed for many years at the West Avenue Care Center and was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her much loved pets. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, by six brothers, Vincent, Patsy, James, Joseph, Edward and Louis Cassano, and three sisters, Josephine Cassano, Millie Cacchione and Connie Byrne and sisters-in-law Emma Patsy, Dorothy James, Evelyn Joseph and brothers-in-law Don Millie and John Connie. Survivors include a son, Matthew of Phoenix, AZ and a daughter, Julie of Linesville PA, two sisters-in-law Anita Edward and Judy Louis as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
