On Wednesday October 27, 2021, Jose Tugas Avelino, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He proudly served his country with the US Army and retired as 1st sergeant after 27 years of service. He will be remembered for his humor, his love of dancing, his loud voice, but most of all for the undying love for his family. Jose Avelino is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Violeta, son Jose Jr. daughters Faye Champaco, Cyndi Avelino-Shake, grandchildren Candice Klaiber, Cara Champaco, Omar and Cecily Shake, great grandchildren Lana Marie Klaiber, Adrian Jose Shake and unborn grandson. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 15th at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seaside. The viewing will begin at 10am and Mass will begin shortly after at 11am. The graveside burial will take place at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside.
