Clarence John Kelsch
June 3, 1934 — June 9, 2025
Clarence Kelsch born June 3, 1934 in Linton, North Dakota was taken to his eternal home on June 9, 2025 in Eugene Oregon due to age related illness.
Clarence was raised in North Dakota on a farm and was the youngest of 5 children.
Clarence met the love of his life Doris Kelsch (Braun), and married at the young age of 19, on 7-20-1953 in Linton North Dakota.
With the desire for adventure, Clarence and Doris, along with their first born, Pete ventured out west and settled in Eugene Oregon. Here they had 3 more children and built a beautiful life. They both called Eugene home for the rest of their days.
While his primary occupation was working in the lumber industry, he spent many years playing clarinet in his band “The North Dakota Playboys” for the Eagles, Moose Lodge, Vets Club and private events.
He had many passions in life, but his favorite was being with his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Having them near and being able to hold his babies gave him a special twinkle in his eyes! He also loved playing music and dancing. Clarence was a devoted Catholic and member of St Mark Catholic Church.
Clarence was preceded in death by his sons Curtis Scott Kelsch and Valentine “Peter” Kelsch, his wife of 67 years, Doris Kelsch. His daughter in law Nichole Kelsch and great grandson Curtis Kelsch.
He is survived by his daughter, Dorinda Dawes (Gary Dawes), and sons, Keith Kelsch and Cody Kelsch (Carli Kelsch).
Grandchildren: Kale Dawes, Falishia Johnson (Todd Johnson), Abby Alani (Justine Leroy), Julia Dorfler, and Christa Cook.
Great grandchildren: Carter Johnson, Kairyn Leroy, Dezmyn Leroy, Evelyn Kelsch, Emori Kelsch and Aurianna Grant.
We know how happy he is to be reunited with his love, Doris and we share a wonderful vision of them dancing together once again!
