Gaye Cook Gough

Gaye Cook Gough (84) passed away on May 10, 2026.

Born in Iredell County, NC she spent her childhood in Huntersville, North Carolina. She Graduated North Mecklenburg High School and Appalachian State University, and moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1965.

Gaye is survived by siblings Doris Bradley, E.H. Cook, Jr. (Cindy), Lois Peterson (Steve), Henry Cook (Susan) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gaye was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gough married in 1976 for 47 years, parents Ervin and Nancy Cook, brother in-law Erskine M. Bradley and nephew Gregory M. Bradley

Gaye was an active Member of First United Methodist Church for many years. Gaye served on the United Women in Faith team as Church Women United Representative. She served in this role for many years always bringing important and interesting information back to United Women in Faith group.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church on June 24, 2026 at 1:00pm. The Reverend Ryan Scott will officiate.

Family appreciates and thanks Patricia Miller for her devoted and loving care of Gaye, especially for the last several months and Barbara Garner, sister-in-law, for her friendship and support. Also, Churchill Estates and Brighton Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
