Paul George Reed, 95, of Fort Atkinson passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. 

He was born on February 21, 1930, to the late Howard and Mathe (nee Williams) Reed in Racine, WI. He honorably served in the United States Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict. Paul and Helen loved traveling in their RV. Made trips to California, Florida, Texas, and many trips to camp along the Mississippi river. Paul enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Those Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory include his only daughter, Susan Reed McKee who will miss him beyond words and had a special bond. three grandchildren, Jessica (Rodney) Potts, Lucas McKee, and Mallory (Kevin) Hansen; four great-grandchildren, Daltyn McKee, Kylie (Nick Klotz) McKee, Emmalyn McKee, and Aurora Hansen, with a great-great-grandchild due in August; his sister, Linda Kesler; other relatives and friends.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Reed; three brothers, Howard Reed Jr., Clayton Reed, and Michael Reed; sister, Shirley Swenson; infant brother and sister; five brothers-in-law, and 4 sisters-in-law and their spouses.  

VISITATION: The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 314 Barrie St. Fort Atkinson, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. 

SERVICE: The service to remember Paul will be at the church at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. 

The family would like to thank all his caregivers through the years, and his favorites at Alden Estates, Lissette, Andy, and Shelly. To Ruben for his friendship and help through the years. And to the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, to the doctors and nurses for all their wonderful care.  

The Nitardy Funeral Home has been entrusted with Paul’s arrangements.
