Charles (Chuck) David Fiechter 76, lost his eight year battle with prostate cancer on July 7, 2026. He was born in Greeley, Colorado to Charles A. and Betty M. (Thompson) Fiechter on March 4, 1950. Chuck married Delilah (Gomez) Fiechter on September 1, 1979. They met at the phone company, Mountain Bell where he retired after 35 years. He went to Greeley schools and graduated in 1968 from Greeley Central. He attended and graduated from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling where he would meet his life long friends Eladio (Buddy) and Larry. Chuck had a beautiful voice and could sing and play the guitar. He loved music, especially the Beatles. He also had a love of watching football, especially the Broncos, which he inherited from his dad, and looked forward to playing fantasy football every fall. He made the best homemade jerky and his yard was green with a garden that was full of flowers, tomatoes, and jalapeño peppers. His best accomplishment in life were the daughters he and Delilah had, Jillian (Joseph) Lefevre of Greeley and Heidi (Creighton) Byrd of Windsor. They survive him as does his wife and three grandchildren, Hollister Byrd, Isabella Lefevre, and Isaac Lefevre.

He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sister in-laws, as well as nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three special friends that felt like family - Eladio Couto, Larry and Linda Gonzales, and the best neighbors anyone could wish for. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Pat (Tom)Schultz. Cremation has taken place at Northern Colorado Crematory and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lastly, thanks to all of the hospice nurses at Banner, they are truly angels on Earth.
