Patricia Ann Young

Patricia Ann Young of Eaton, Colorado passed away on 4/11/2025 at home with the wonderful care of her Granddaughter, Bailey and the additional care of Hospice in the last week of her life. 

Patricia was born on September 10, 1946, in Eaton, Colorado, to Roy C. and Freida (Uhrich) Whitmore. A lifelong resident of Eaton, Patricia held a deep love for her community and roots.

She married Dale Young, and together they built a better life around hard work, family, and friends. Patricia will be remembered for her accepting nature of people, no matter good or bad. She will also be remembered for her sense of humor, her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and most of all the unconditional love she provided to all her family and friends, expecting nothing in return. 

Patricia was with HP until she retired, she enjoyed all the positions she worked within HP over the years, and she always took pride in being a person her superiors counted on, as well as her peers.  When Patricia wasn’t working, her time was always spent with her large family, she was 1 of 10 children all raised in Eaton, CO. She enjoyed dancing, family get togethers and karaoke parties, music, playing cards, going to the movies, but most of all she wanted to be with her family. Before her passing Patricia was looking forward to moving to Lake of the Ozarks, MO. with her family and experiencing new adventures other parts of the world hold! 

She is survived by Tammy (Dave) Jacoby, Daughter – Bailey Jacoby, granddaughter – Devan Jacoby, grandson – Aurelia and Kira Jacoby, great granddaughters – Linda (Will) Owens, sister – Sharon (Bill) McKay, sister – Dixie Rutherford, sister – Vernette (Bob) Baldwin, sister-in-law – And several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Roy C Whitmore, father – Freida (Uhrich) Whitmore, mother – Dale Young, husband – Marty Young, son – Calvin Whitmore, brother – Kenneth Whitmore, brother – Beverly (Kenneth) Schott, sister – Shirley (Kenneth) Hyde, sister – Carol Whitmore, sister – Judith (Tom) Riggs, sister.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on June 21st, 2025, either late afternoon or evening, at a venue in Greeley, Colorado.  More to come on the specifics in the coming days.
