Connie Evans Hawkins passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 25th 2022 in her home in Martinez, California. Connie was born to Maurice Stweart Evans and Faye Francis Foreman on July 2nd 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Connie is survived by her brothers David Charles Evans and Wayne Maurice Evans; her beloved husband Kent Michael Hawkins; children Aubrey Hawkins Bitter (Spouse Shawn Howard Bitter, children Gregory Shawn, Bryson Kent, and Parker Charles Bitter) Michael Evans Hawkins (Espoused Brittany Brie Atkinson, children Ramona Faye and Solly Grant Hawkins) and Alisa Hawkins Switzler (Spouse Todd Jackson Switzler, child Alvin William Switzler II) Connie is preceded by her parents Maurice Stewart Evans, Faye Francis Foreman, and her in-laws, Grant Hill Hawkins and Marjorie Paine Hawkins. Connie Hawkins was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served many years with the youth and as activities leader. Connie taught preschool for 35 years, where she also mentored parents on how to raise confident and kind children. Connie loved parades and celebrating holidays. She made friends easily, even while waiting in line. With her adoring husband of 43 years by her side, she was always looking for ways to serve others. Connie loved animals and always had at least one or two pets at home. Connies greatest joy were her 3 children and 6 grandchildren. A celebration of Connies life will be held on Saturday, July 2nd 2022 at 11am at 555 Boyd Rd. Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. A private burial will be held Friday at Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette, CA. Per Connies request, the Hawkins family asks in lieu of flowers, you give flowers to someone to brighten their day or take your family to dinner.
