Deems Craig Padgett

Deems Craig Padgett Born November 19, 1961 Deems Craig Padgett died unexpectedly March 9, 2012 in Orinda. A geologist with TRC Companies, he had resided in Contra Costa County for 14 years. Deems is survived by his father Richard and stepmother Janice Padgett of Tehachapi, California, and his mother Anne Craig and her companion Hank Weisberg of Clovis, California. In addition he leaves sister Shaylah Weibel (Derek), sister Jan Munger (Dale), a brother Mark Padgett and two step brothers Darrin and Nathan (Debra) Schultz. 16 nieces and nephews also mourn his loss. Deems had a keen appreciation for the natural environment and the world around him. That his profession enabled him to contribute to the conservation and protection of the environment was a source of great pride for him. His insatiable curiosity led him to life long learning. He loved reading, writing about his experiences, and being outdoors. To mark his passing, friends and professional colleagues are invited to a celebration of Deems' life Monday, March 19, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Casa Orinda Restaurant, 20 Bryant Way in Orinda. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to a charity of choice.
