Mark Lynn Cutler, age 93, child of the late Geneveve Bluejacket and Mark Anthony Cutler, passed peacefully in his sleep on February 17th, 2026 in his home in Clayton, California. Born and raised in Kanab, Utah, he graduated from Kanab high school in 1950 and soon after married his childhood sweetheart, Bonnie Chamberlain. They were married 70 years before her passing on January 6th of 2022.

He lived a life of perseverance, devotion, faith in Jesus Christ and a deep love for family. He attended five universities, Cedar City, Utah State, UC Berkeley and The University of Washington where he received his degree in Dentistry. He joined the Air Force in 1955 for four years and was one of the first tactical fighter pilots to fly the F-100. He always shared many harrowing near death experiences to keep us all entertained for hours. After graduating  from the University of Washington in 1964 he moved his growing family to Clayton to start a dental practice.  He went back to school at the University of San Francisco to become an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and practiced the rest of his career.

He believed in education, self-reliance and always supported those activities in others. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. He and Bonnieloved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in many capacities.

They served as ordinanceworkers in the Oakland Temple together for 18 years, as Bishop and wife of a singles ward in Moraga, CA, and as humanitarian missionaries in Hanoi, Vietnam for 18 months. He was a partof many bishoprics, young men organizations  and was a ward mission leader.

He loved talking with and helping people. Mark enjoyed challenging anyone (that would accept), to a game ofping pong, tennis, golf, or racquetball. He loved making a game out of just about anything.

Mark is survived by his four children, Cheri Wiest, Craig Cutler, Julie Doman and Michael Cutler,19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

As our family gathers to celebrate his life, we will share photographs, stories, tears, andlaughter — grateful for the legacy of faith and love he leaves behind. His life reminds us thatdevotion to God and family will go on for generations.
