Barbara Ann Reed

Barbara Ann Reed, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. She was born on July 18, 1941, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Alexander and Mary Kordaszweski Stokowski. Barbara moved to Chesapeake in January 2026 from Greenville, South Carolina. She was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of the Catholic faith.

Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished her family above all else and found great joy in the time she spent with them. Her kindness, unwavering love, and gentle spirit will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Allen Reed; and her three sisters, Marian Malinowski, Florence Shyo, and Jean Kettelhack. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Anne Miller and her husband, Gary, and Susan Alicia Doepker and her husband, Greg; her sons, David Alexander Reed and Steven Anthony Reed and his wife, Kathy; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
