Bobby D. Jones

Bobby D. Jones of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on April 19, 2026, and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior. He was born on March 17, 1940, in Dundee, Florida, to Judge and Lois Holley Jones. A lifelong Floridian, Bobby graduated from Haines City High School in 1958. He went on to build a dedicated career with the Pinellas County School Board, where he worked in HVAC, installing air conditioning systems in schools throughout the county. Bobby was also a devoted member of Lake Pierce Baptist Church in Lake Wales.

Bobby had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a devoted Florida Gators fan and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team. Above all, Bobby treasured his family and his faith, holding a deep love for his Lord and Savior and staying active in his church community. He was known for his kind and loving nature, his easy laughter, and the warmth he shared with everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge and Lois Jones; and his brother, Hubert Jones. Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Marjean Jones of Lake Wales; his sister, Barbara Jones Crosby and her husband, Gary, of The Villages, Florida; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida. Bobby’s final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
